Closed Press is the publishing imprint of Closed Ladder LLC, a small press in Detroit, Michigan. We publish books that make a case, for readers who ask hard questions of comfortable answers: a thesis, a spine, and print worth keeping.

We keep the list short so we can do it properly. Every book gets real editing, real typesetting, and a cover worth the shelf it sits on. Some of our books argue. Some of them sing. All of them were made to be kept.

We believe in hearing people out, in letting authors say what they came to say, and in print that outlasts the feed that announced it.
